Zentangle: Ghosting

Zentangle’s “Ghosting” technique will add a haunting aspect and a mystical-whisper feeling to our artwork, by using a light touch of our trustworthy mini graphite pencil.
Ghosting, also known (in the Zentangle circle) as “Ghosttangles” is a technique that invites us to give a new appreciation for our mini graphite pencil. We will go beyond the dots, string and shading using our pencil. We will learn to add softness, contour and texture to our line movements. Our graphite accents will definitely enhance our pen work as we experiment with the concept of ghosting.
All materials will be either supplied or available for borrowing. Students’ kits will include Zentangle tiles, kneaded eraser and mini graphite pencil.
Class will be guided with Zentangle’s traditional ceremony and method.

This class is open to all levels, no Zentangle or art experience necessary. An overview of the Zentangle art method will be introduce to those new Zentangle art.
Cost is $35 / $30 VAC members plus a $10 supply fee. Please bring a light refreshment to share.
