Zentangle is an easy-to-learn, relaxing and fun way to create beautiful images by drawing structured patterns. There are no mistakes in Zentangle.  

As you first glance at a Zentangle art piece, it appears intricate and complicated. But, when you are guided through the process, you realize how simple it is – and how fun and engrossing it becomes.  

Beginners learn the basic Zentangle art method of drawing and those with experience get the guidance they need to take their Zentangle practice a step further. We will be adding a touch of red to our artwork.

Learning Objectives:

• Introduction to the Zentangle Art Method
• Five elements: dot, straight line, S shape, C shape, & orb ( . / s c o)
• Zentangle basic vocabulary
• Benefits of meditation through a mindful drawing practice. 

 Materials:

Zentangle Basics kit will be provided that contains a Sakura PN pen, Sakura Red 03 pen, mini pencil, tortillion and 3 tiles.  Additional Zentangle information is included.

Please bring a light refreshment to share. Cost is $35/$30 VAC Members plus a $15 fee, inclusive of supplies.
