Learn the fundamentals of “Painting from Observation” with Volcano artist, Lisa Maria Martin in a two-day workshop slated for Saturday and Sunday, December 7 and 8, 2019, from 9am – 3pm at Volcano Art Center Niaulani Campus in Volcano Village.

This class is suited for beginner and intermediate students looking to grow a painting practice or to help take their art to the next level by observing and painting from life.

The cost for the two-day workshop is $240/$220 for VAC Members. Please see the list of supplies to bring below. 

Lisa Maria Martin is a painter born and raised in New England newly moved to Volcano, Hawaii from Maine. Lisa Maria’s unique and whimsical style has been developed through her 25 years and is a wonderful match for the aloha spirit! Imaginative portraiture and works from nature are among her specialties.

Palette knife
Brushes – small, medium, and large sizes
2 canvas (one for each day)
Paper towel roll
Jar for water or oil paint solvent
Acrylic or oil paints in the following colors:
Any med red
Any Med blue
Any Med yellow
Titanium white
Raw umber
(Bring any colors you wish, but be sure to include these.)
