Honu`ea Call for Entries! Call for entries! Volcano Art Center and the Hawai‘i Island Hawksbill Turtle Recovery Project are proud to announce Honu‘ea 2012, a juried art exhibition celebrating Hawaii’s endangered honu’ea (hawksbill sea turtle), (Eretmochelys imbricata). Amateur and professional artists of all ages are encouraged to submit works of art raising both awareness and funds for these critically endangered sea turtles. Open to living artists of all ages, working in all mediums.

All works must be accompanied by an entry form and the appropriate entry fee of $25 (for up to 2 works) for adults, ($20.00 for VAC members). Youth (under 18) may enter their artwork for $5.00 per entry. Artwork submitted must be received at Volcano Art Center’s Niaulani Campus in Volcano Village at 19-4074 Old Volcano Rd. between 10 am and 1 pm on Friday, April 20 or Saturday, April 21, 2012. Submissions may be received via mail on or before Friday, April 20, 2012.
